JBH Hospitality grew out of nearly three decades spent inside hospitality, watching what makes some experiences stay with us while others simply work.

I have spent my career in hotels, restaurants and events, working across catering, sales and operations. Over time, I became increasingly aware of how much of hospitality happens beyond the systems we build to deliver it. It happens in what people notice. How they communicate. The judgment they use when something doesn’t go according to plan. The small decisions that tell another person, someone is paying attention. 

That is the work behind JBH.I created this company to explore and teach a more human way of thinking about hospitality. One that gives people room to use awareness, curiosity and judgment alongside the operational skills our industry already knows how to teach well. 

I call that modern hospitality: the practice of noticing what a moment requires and responding with intention through advisory work, speaking, team development and writing, JBH helps organizations look more closely at the experiences they are creating, for their guests, their teams and the people they work alongside. 

After almost thirty years in this industry, I still believe hospitality has extraordinary power. Sometimes the greatest opportunity is simply learning to see more clearly what is already happening in front of us.
